Cons:

Since it is hardwood, there are some flaws and a little warping in the natural wood, plus there is a spot on one of the boards that looked like someone started to cut into it then realized it was the wrong spot, patched it up and cut in the proper place.
It is definitely hand-made, as there are many slightly off alignments, as well as the fact that several of the slots or screw holes were improperly measured.
Directions are very vague and unclear, pretty much useless.

Overall, if you have a history of Army and carpentry skills, like my husband did, and the tools to do it, which we had to buy, you could manage to fix the spots yourself that needed to be drilled or filed or adjusted. However, if you don't and are just looking for a bed ready for assembly out of the box, this is not for you. This bed is very nice once put together (good materials, decent carpentry work), but you have to be willing to put a bit of effort into finishing it up. We enjoy the beds, which we made into separate beds (if we had wanted bunk beds, it would have been even more problematic). They are quite beautiful. However, we would probably not purchase another bunk bed from this company in the future.
