These Magic Bumpers might be different than what we actually have (Bed Bug Bumpers from Ohio), but the concept is exactly the same--foam wedges that fit under the mattress pad. We have four 27" bumpers/wedges that we use on twin beds for almost a year and no one has fallen out of bed.I bought the foam bumpers b/c they're: 1)GREAT for travel--packs easily in suitcase for hotel beds, 2) easier for kids to get in/out of bed and mom/dad to read stories, and 3)less embarassing for my older child when friends come over. You can fall on the bumpers, climb over the bumpers, etc. and they're ok and so are you. I know foam deteriorates over time but not for a few years so for now, I love them.
